Comments WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (Map, News) - A central Florida sheriff is pleading with rescue groups to give shelter to malnourished dogs that were seized by authorities. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd made the plea Thursday to Humane Societies and other groups because the addition of 323 dogs in less than a week has strained the Animal Control facility.
